Art League of Rhode Island:
digital image files for annual meeting 2008.
As was done last year, we will project members' work
during the annual meeting on 17 June. It seemed to have
worked very well last year - and is certainly very appropriate
for a meeting of artists!
- If you submitted last year and wish that work to
be displayed this year, please reply to let me know
(I still have those image files).
- If you do not wish last year's work used, please
let me know that as well.
- And, if you wish to submit new or different work
this year, please send your work as follows:
Submit up to 3 digital image files by monday, 9 June.
Send the image files directly to John
Foraste as email attachments. Send one image file
per email in order to not overburden the email servers.
Also, please put ARLI: digital image file 1 of 3 (then
2 of 3, 3 of 3) in the subject line so that my email
program happily accepts all of the submissions.
Image files must be sized at 700 pixels on the largest
dimension and a resolution of 72 dpi (pixels/inch) and
then saved in JPEG format at image quality 8. Each image
file must be named: artist.image#.title of work (e.g.
Picasso.1.Guernica).
The above specs will render images small enough to
send as an email attachment, yet large enough for projection.
It will also ensure that all of the images are the same
size on one dimension (even though they may vary widely
on the second dimension).
Please observe the deadline of Monday, 9 June, since
the images will have to be checked and organized so
that they run smoothly on the laptop for the meeting.
We will try to use all of the images submitted, but
will make the final selection based upon the total number
submitted. |
